Water Tips: Home
The average household can save a dramatic amount of water without making major lifestyle changes. A few simple adjustments to the way you use water around the home can make a big difference. And, using water wisely will not only help our environment, it will also save you money on your water and energy bills.
Check your home for worn tap washers and repair leaking pipes and taps. A dripping tap might not appear to be wasting much water, but it adds up quickly. A single leak over a long period can waste thousands of litres. In some cases dripping taps and leaks could be responsible for up to 30% of your water bill.
You must use a Queensland licensed plumber to repair any leaking pipes on your property. For information on leak detection, click here.
